ASTM E74 Class AA Loading Range

The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Specification E74 requires load cells used to calibrate other force-measuring instruments be calibrated by dead weights and assigned a Class AA loading range.  The Loading range is the range of forces over which the load cell can be used according to ASTM.

Morehouse is the only load cell supplier that can provide calibration of load cells with capacities through 120,000 lbf using dead weights in their own Force Calibration Laboratory. 

The Morehouse Force Calibration Laboratory is accredited to ISO 17025 by A2LA (Certificate #: 1398.01).

Morehouse Offers Ultra Precision Calibration Grade Load Cells with:

ASTM E74 Calibration with Class AA lower limit around 10% in compression and tension when calibrated in Mv/V or combined with the morehouse load cell meter model 4215 or comparable meter.

Uncertainties of around .005% of capacity  in compression and tension when combined with the morehouse load cell meter model 4215.
